Ok. Here we go. We’re going to talk about that which Certless abhors, certifications. Lets face it, the marketplace demands certifications and headhunters and HR snobs rarely look at a CV if there aren’t a few certs on it. Its not enough that this is a blockade to getting jobs, but our industry is also flooded with a slew of n00b cert holders who have little to no practical experience in a real-world workplace. In many cases, its nearly impossible to find a good job, but its even harder in this difficult economy.
So, what do we do? We gather together and use our strength in numbers to push through. In order to facilitate that, Certless will be developing this collection of resources for certifications. First, we will offer links to the major certification sites. These are official sites, but you should be able to glean a great deal of information from them. Later, we will be adding more resources on the internet and, where we can, we will also publish phone numbers and contact names.
